Little Star is proud to introduce our new owners, mother and daughter team, Shannon and Tonya Papineau! Same great philosophies with some equally great and fresh new ideas. 

Miss Shannon is an Early Childhood Educator who has been in the field for over 25 years. Her passion for quality childcare and her love for children really shines through in everything she offers. with years of experience she never runs out of ideas for a fun filled program. Most recently Miss Shannon managed and single handedly ran Little Spartans daycare located inside Claremont Highschool in Victoria BC. After 7 long years she was sad to leave the little community she had created but was eager to follow her dreams of opening a Childrens Centre with her daughter Tonya in the very beautiful Qualicum Beach. Shannon is passionate about the importance of play, children learn and create through play.

Miss Tonya is an Early Childhood Educator with 10 years of experience. She is also a certified yoga instructor who has specialized training in children, youth and family yoga. Tonya uses her passions to create fun and stimulating daily yoga classes to share with her students. 

"Yoga fosters creativity and compassion while maintaining flexibility and strengthening the body. Yoga teaches children to relax and is a tool for stress management. Not to mention kids love it!"  Miss Tonya

Recently Miss Tonya was working as a Behavioural interventionist in Victoria BC. She worked one on one with children who were diagnosed with Autism. She was also teaching yoga classes to chilldren, youth and families offering several classes a week. Although she was sad to leave her home in Victoria she was excited to follow the dream she shared with her Mother of opening their own Childrens Centre in The very beautiful Qualicum Beach.

We are honored to be taking over a centre that has carried such an amazing reputation but we are also excited to build our own reputation.
